New Connections Procedure
- Customer applies for a new connection at the Area/Scheme Customer care desk
- Customer pays the survey fee and details sent to the Area/Scheme GIS section for Survey
- GIS section forwards the survey results back to Area/Scheme Customer care desk who forwards to GIS section at HQ for mapping
- Customer care forwards to the Area /scheme Technical team for the technical survey (of pipes, meter etc.)
- Area/Scheme forwards results back to the Area/scheme customer care desk
- Customer is advised to pay the deposit
- Area/Scheme Customer Care Desk forwards forms to customer care Manager for recommendation and onward forwarding to Area /Scheme Manager for further recommendation
- Area /Scheme Manager forwards to the New Connection officer for onward forwarding to the CEO through the Technical Manager
- New connection officer signs off for the meters at the stores using the meter issuance form and undertakes connection of the meters in the respective Area /Scheme
- In undertaking the connection, the new connections officer will be assisted with the respective Area /Scheme Artisan and the meter reader of the zone/route should be notified of the connection by the new connection officer
